 On
Saturday, July 13th the Rec Hall became a Hawaiian paradise as the
OLMM Annual Summer Party kicked off the season.  This
years theme a Luau, was a smashing success under the creative
direction of Christina Brown. The Brown family and friends
once again did a fabulous job organizing what turned out to be the
social event of the season!
The decorations were incredible
from the inviting tiki torches upon arrival to the make-believe
pig roast, not a detail was missed. Even the sunset
cooperated. Adding to the scene were the colorful outfits of
many of our townspeople who showed up in great form.
The sellout crowd of 300 people
(dozens more were turned away) danced the night away to the sounds
of "C.D. and Company" who had the place rocking till the
wee hours.
The exceptional food was
provided by Papi Simonetti of Baci Da Roma Catering.

The night was filled with
raffles, contests and even a few nail biting auctions that made
the crowd even livelier if that was at all possible. The big
winners of the night were:

each won highest bids on donated Jet paraphernalia.
A good time was had by all.
This Luau will go down in history as one of the best! Thanks again to the Brown
family, Fr. Patrick who made his social debut and Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal
Church for keeping this tradition alive.
 The Brown family would also like
to extend their thanks to all who volunteered their time, talent
and effort in making such a successful night possible.
