Hi Julie:
If your husband still has trouble understanding this,
I've know that for
many years. Maybe because I'm a little older than you, and
started traveling
around the world back in the early 70's. I have seen the
Point Lookout T- shirts sold at the IGA everywhere I go,
and have bumped into people
everywhere. I met 2 guys who shared a white water rafting
boat with us who
knew people from town. Met Kenny Bolkum on his honeymoon
in St. Marteen and
another friend of mine on a previous trip to St Marteen on
her honeymoon. I
can go on and on, but the kicker was a few years ago when
I went to Ireland
for a wedding. I went a couple of weeks early to travel
the country for a
while. So I rented a car and drove down to Kinsale to
start my journey. It
was a small beautiful beach town at the southern tip of
Ireland. I got up
early the next morning and walked the streets looking for
a shop to stop
into. One finally opened and I went in. It was just me and
the owner for a
few minutes until I heard the door open behind me. As I
turned to see who
it was, It was Mr. & Mrs. Donahue from the Point. We
both pointed at each
other with the same question "what are you doing
here" Ironically we were
both there for a wedding, different ones thank God!
For a while I thought it was me. But as the years
passed, I came to the same conclusion as you. Point
Lookout - "The center of the universe"
